Unions at Humberside fire and rescue warns about impact of funding cuts

The service has seen funding drop by 11 per cent in 4 years

Staff numbers at Humberside fire and rescue are continuing to decrease after Government cuts of by over 11 per cent in the last 4 years.

It means two point six million pounds has been scrapped from the service, leaving staff under major pressure to deal with major events across the region.

Gavin Marshall, the fire brigade union secretary for the Humberside service says the Government need to invest.
