Safety measures considered for A18 near Grimsby

The road is considered one of the most dangerous in the country based on the number of collisions

The speed limit on a stretch of the A18 near Grimsby could be lowered, after a Coroner recommended action, following the deaths of a family in a road crash there.

Five members of the Cockburn family died after the crash back in 2013.

Now, North East Lincolnshire council is asking for comments on a draft redesign of the busy A road, which includes cutting the speed limit to 50 miles an hour.

Other suggestions include widening the entrance to the Oaklands Hotel and other stretches of the road.
