Pilot project in NE Lincs will see some homes get weekly recycling collections

3 month trial for 15 hundred homes

A pilot project in North East Lincolnshire will see 15 hundred homes having their recycling taken away every week.

The 3 month scheme aims to test new ideas in a bid to improve the system with a possibility of "rolling it out" to other areas.

The triple box system will be replaced by bags and a wheelie bin for cans and plastic bottles.

Meanwhile the Council problems with clearing the Christmas waste backlog should be resolved at the end of the week or early next week at the latest.
