They sent drugs runners into the town
5 members of an organised crime gang who controlled drug runners in Grimsby have been jailed for a total of over 36 years.
The group were all from the Liverpool and Cheshire areas and transported heroin and crack cocaine with a street value of well over a million pounds into the town over an 18 month period.
They recruited local people and some from outside the area to sell the drugs.
Their activities came to light following a police investigation into a burglary in Merseyside where a mobile phone was seized with messages indicating a major operation to supply drugs.
