Meeting will decide whether to approve plans for 63 new houses in New Waltham

Councillors will also decide on retrospective permission for house conversion and drive through coffee shop

A meeting today will decide whether to approve plans for 63 new houses in New Waltham.

The proposals are for agricultural land at Hewitts Avenue opposite Tescos.

Some local people have objected with raising possible traffic issues as a big concern.

Meanwhile the future of a controversial house conversion in New Waltham is also being debated.

Work has already been completed to turn the roof space into a second storey, so a retrospective planning application has been submitted by the home owner.

There have been complaints lodged by several neighbours who say the changes are obtrusive and an invasion of privacy.

The same meeting will also decide on an application for a drive through coffee shop at Morrisons near Laceby.
