Grimsby woman jailed after aiming fake gun at police

She faces 5 years in prison

A Grimsby woman who aimed a rifle at police while threatening to shoot them has been jailed for five years.

Officers had to flee as they didn't know 27 year old Jessica Fitzgerald was actually holding a fake gun.

An hour of negotiations took place and she was arrested after a fire alarm went off.

Fitzgerald, of Crosby road, was also found guilty of assaulting an officer, and throwing a table at a prisoner while on remand in jail.
