4 million pound new youth project launched in Grimsby

The new "Youth Zone" will be created on Garth Lane

There's been a major boost to youth facilities Grimsby after the Government announced almost 4 million pounds to create a new project.

It's the latest phase in the 88 million pound regeneration of North East Lincolnshire known as the town deal.

Derelict buildings in the Garth Lane area are being converted into a so called youth zone aimed at 8 to 19 year olds.

It'll provide facilities including a sports hall, climbing wall and 3G pitches.

Northern Powerhouse minister Jake Berry was in Grimsby for the launch this morning.
