Compass FM is the local radio station for Grimsby and North East Lincolnshire, and each local commercial radio station in the UK has requirements in respect of its music and local content, such as news, speech levels etc. These requirements are set out in the station "Format", a document issued by Ofcom, the UK’s radio regulator.
This Public File contains details of the elements that Ofcom regulate, such as music tracks, local news etc. It is intended to give you a better understanding of our output and what we are doing for our local community. It is relevant only to "Compass FM” covering Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Immingham. You can also listen to us online 24 hours a day.

Transmission: 96.4 Compass FM is available across North East Lincolnshire, you can also listen to us on DAB via the Lincolnshire multiplex and online.
Automation: 83% of Compass FM's locally produced weekly daytime output is automated. At the weekends 75% is automated.
Local production: Compass FM is locally produced 24 hours a day.
Some of Compass FM's daytime programmes are presented "live assist" or "automated".
Local News bulletins are broadcast Monday to Friday at 0700 - 1800, and with sport at 0730 & 0830. At the weekends at 0830 and 0930. Headlines - weekdays at 0730 & 0830. At relevant times additional news bulletins may be broadcast.

Local travel information is broadcast half-hourly Monday to Friday between 0615 - 0900 and 1445 - 1800. Plus hourly at weekends between 0815 - 1115, with additional updates throughout the day as and when necessary.
