Rob begin his radio career broadcasting at night and remembers something someone once said to him about being on the radio at that time of the day, it’s the last thing you do before you go to bed each evening! Well apart from brushing your teeth.
He is now back broadcasting in the evening and says there is something special about night-time radio. People catch radio in the day, at night they listen to it.
Rob is a trivia junky and knows loads of useless facts and is probably worth having in your pub team, hence the Ten Past Teasers at 10 minutes past the hour, every hour during the evening show.
Some of Rob's favourite questions include, February is the shortest month in the year, but which is the longest?
The answer is October - the clocks go back so it lasts 31 days and 1 hour. What sport has 4 letters and begins with a T (golf), and in a standard set of playing cards, which is the only king without a moustache? It's the King of Hearts.
On Monday night it's the Slow Motion Movie. It's your chance to identify a movie from a slowed down film clip.
Tuesday night's you can guess the TV show on Tuesday's 20 second TV Theme and on Wednesday evening it's Office Moral Dilemma Questions, such as - you are leaving a party and a taxi driver asks if you are the person who has ordered the taxi. You aren’t – do you say yes? Find out what the team in the office have to say.
On Thursday It's Thursday's Things You Never Thought You Know. For example, everyone thinks it was Whitcomb Judson who invented the zipper (don't they?) but it was really Elias Howe. Elias was so busy inventing the sewing machine that he didn't get around to selling his zipper invention which he called a clothing closure
Also on the show is Matt's Movie Minute, Musical Milestones, The Greatest Hits Artist of the Week, Album of the Week and of course, loads of Music You Love!
Away from radio, Rob is married with a money draining 16-year-old son. He is an avid reader of trashy books and supports the World's oldest football league team.
