Ross Carrick

A Grimsby born lad Ross has always had a passion for radio, so much so that his mum and dad would get their own radio shows at home and in the car! When he went up to secondary school Ross made it onto Heatrays, the student radio station at Monks Dyke Technology College as it was then. Following on from this Ross decided he could launch his own Bedroom FM, sorry Carrick FM (!) and would rush from home from school to make sure listeners had the latest travel news for their drive home! He then continued his ambition to be on the radio and became a presenter at Spire Hospital Radio in Louth. The team at Spire urged Ross to put in a demo tape to Compass FM and as they say, the rest is history!

Ross started presenting shows here in November 2012 and since then has done nearly every show possible but is now proud to say that he's the voice to wake you up in the morning from 6am. What gets him set up for the morning you ask. Well its not tea or coffee because he doesn't like hot drinks!

When Ross is not somewhere around North East Lincolnshire chatting with you and collecting stories to share on the radio he might be in the garden, at the theatre, watching repeats of Are You Being Served or Keeping Up Appearances or trying to organise his collection of over 500 vintage tins and retro mugs!

Ross is here Weekdays 6-10am and Sundays 8am-Midday.
