MOTORSPORT: Local rider on pole at Cadwell Park

WFR Honda rider Alex Lowes is at the front of the grid for the British Superbike Championships...

All eyes will be on Cadwell Park later as the eighth round of the British Superbike Championships gets underway.

Thousands are expected at the world famous circuit this afternoon.

There's lots of local interest with Louth basedJon Kirkham and Michael Laverty qualifying third and fourth respectively.

The pole position goes to local rider Alex Lowes though who's hoping to make his mark on home turf.
