Cleethorpes Town retained their winning form with a 3-1 win over Grimsby Borough Reserves on Saturday.

The Owls were the favourites going into the match after bagging the league title this season and losing just two games since October 2010.

There was a very strong atmosphere at the local derby which was played at Lincoln United's Ashby Avenue ground.  

Grimsby Town's Conference season has ended with 1-0 defeat infront the home fans at Blundell Park.

It was a goal from Darren Stephenson late in the game that gave Southport the win.

It was defeat too for Grimsby Borough they lost 3-2 to Dinnington Town.

Grimsby Town trio Rob Duffy, Scott Garner and Michael Coulson have today left the club.

The three players are all out of contract this summer.

The trio won't feature in this weekend's clash against Southport.

There were chances for both sides, but neither could make the breakthrough.

Town will now be looking ahead to the final game of the season against Southport.

Meanwhile 2 mariners players have got England call ups.

Michael Coulson and Scott Garner are in the provisional England C squad to face Russia.

In the Conference, twice Grimsby went behind and twice they pulled it level again in their clash with Wrexham.

It ended 2-0 wityh goals from Anthony Elding and Andi Thanoj, forcing a share of the points.

Grimsby Town came from behind to gain a useful point in a 1-1 draw at Luton.

Andre Gray, making his debut for Luton, put them infront in the 60th, Kiernan Hughes-Mason got the equaliser for the Mariners three minutes from time.

The result leaves Grimsby four points adrift of the play-off places.

Elsewhere the winning goes on yet again for Cleethorpes Town.  They've beaten Horncastle Town 2-0 in their latest Lincolnshire League game.

The Mariners have a new loan signing, in the form of Scunthorpe midfielder Andrew Wright.

The 27 year old will return to Blundell Park for a month long deal.
